The state of Punjab has a lively vibe, and I was itching to be a part of it. However, the most exciting stop in my itinerary was the city of Amritsar. After hearing so much about the tranquillity this city has to offer, I had to make a stop here. Before I arrived at Amritsar, I made sure that my accommodation is booked. I wanted a comfortable stay and hence went on to search for a 5-star hotel in Amritsar. I chose to stay at Taj Sawarna, Amritsar as I was about to explore Amritsar for at least 2 days. I had heard many people talking about the opulence and luxury at Taj Sawarna, Amritsar and I thought I should treat myself to a bit of luxury on my trip.

Taj Sawarna, Amritsar: The Epitome of Luxury
Taj Sawarna is located at a convenient distance from the airport and the railway station. The Golden Temple is just 5.5 km away. Therefore, this is an ideal choice for those who are looking for a hotel near the Golden Temple. As the attractions such as the Jallianwalah Baug, Golden Temple, and the shopping market are nearby, this was the right choice for me to book a stay. I was welcomed with the signature Taj reception with aarti-tika along with an offering of gur and dahi.
As I entered the hotel, I was ushered into the iconic Tajness. The hotel lobby had a sleek modern design that seamlessly effused itself to the traditional elements of the city. As soon as I entered the hotel, I straight went to my room. I booked a Deluxe room city view. True to its name, the room gave me some of the most beautiful views of the city through its floor to ceiling windows. The room had an elegant decor with all the necessary amenities. Other rooms range from executive suites to the majestic Presidential Suite.
If grabbing a plate of scrumptious Chole Bhature and Lassi for breakfast is your gig, then head to the Grand Trunk. The familiar warmth of comfort food was the best way to start my day. Taj Sawarna, Amritsar has some of the best restaurants in Amritsar. I was suddenly craving some Chinese food, so I headed straight to The Chinese Room. Here, I got to taste some of the most authentic Chinese and Cantonese cuisines. To just let my hair a little loose, I visited the Peg Bar and Lounge in the evening. The single malts and boutique rums are just what I needed to end my day.
The next day, I headed to experience the signature Taj Jiva Spa. I do not regret going to this spa. It was one of my most relaxing moments on the trip. The wide range of treatments offered such as Jivaniya, Jagr, Trupti, and Indian Therapies such as Pehelwan Malish, Ventoz, Sammardana provide the much-needed respite from all the tiring travels. Other than this, the hotel also offers scrubs and wraps.
I also got a glimpse of the banquet halls at Taj Sawarna. If I ever plan a destination wedding in Amritsar, Taj Sawarna can efficiently serve as the venue.
Taj Sawarna, Amritsar was the right choice for me as it gave me the right kind of luxury I expected to have a comfortable stay. The next time you are in search of a luxury hotel in Amritsar, I recommend staying at Taj Sawarna for the ultimate staying experience.
