5 Incredible Reasons to Take a Trip to California

In 2019, tourism for Los Angeles County reached an all-time high with tourists spending $24.7 billion. A trip to California has a lot to offer, doesn’t it? While the pandemic may slow down things, don’t let that stop you from absorbing the benefits of traveling.

What pops into your heading when planning a trip to the Golden State? Is it the beaches, the babes, the sunshine, or the food? Whether flying solo, with a significant other, friends, or family, you won’t be disappointed.

If you’re unsure of things to do in California, then this guide is for you. We’ve constructed 5 of the best reasons to make your trip a memorable one. Read below to learn more.

1. National Parks

A trip to California means being able to enjoy the most national parks in the country. With over 9 total, you have your choice of Joshua Tree, Yosemite, and Death Valley.

Whether it’s hiking, planning a trip to go hiking, or booking a stay with Death Valley lodging, you will find something to your liking. We encourage you to plan your outdoor excursion ahead of time so you’ll get to take in each park and its beauty.

2. Wine Country

One of our favorite things to do in California is visiting Napa Valley. Home to hundreds of hillside vineyards, you won’t want to miss out on this world-famous region.

Soak up the stunning landscapes while taking in the tastings of over 400 wineries.

3. Weather

You won’t have to worry about the weather when visiting California, as it is near perfect year-round. Depending on the month you go and the region you explore, it will vary, so plan accordingly.

California’s weather can be described as the Mediterranean, with the summers being warm and sunny and the winters being cool and wet. If you’d like to soak up the sun and explore the beaches we recommend June to August, but if hiking is more of your thing, then September to November will make for some excellent hikes.

4. Landmarks

A trip to California is a miss without visiting the iconic landmarks, right? When planning a trip, make sure to include Los Angeles with its Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Sign, and the Sunset Strip in Beverly Hills. You never know, you might just spot a celebrity!

You’ll also want to visit San Fransisco and the Golden Gate Bridge too for your Instagram snapshots.

5. Amusement Parks

If you travel with kids, why not take them to one of the world-famous amusement parks like Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood, or Legoland? Enjoy the ups and downs of a rollercoaster, see live theatre, or cool off in a splash pad.

Other than the more popular ones mentioned above, some smaller parks are also at your disposal such as Castle Park (Riverside) or Adventure City (Anaheim).
